We carefully make sure not to use any damaged, rotten or discoloured wood
Discoloured sapwood, exposed pith, unsound, dead and loose knots shall not be present on any visible face
Moisture content is maintained at appropriate levels
Using only elements cut from quarter-sawn wood
Wood shall be graded and stamped “Dry” / “KD” and have a moisture content of 16% or less
Using only hardwoods fully compliant with the sustainability criteria stipulated in general requirements
Unsound, dead, and loose knots shall not be present on any visible face, nor any resin pockets
Neither discoloured sapwood, nor exposed pith is acceptable
Moisture content is maintained at appropriate levels
All elements shall be cut from quarter-sawn wood
Recycled Content of Medium-Density Fibreboard and Particleboard: post-consumer recycled content, plus ½ of pre-consumer recycled content, not less than 100%
Hardboard: in accordance with American Hardboard Association (AHA) ANSI/ AHA A135.4
Medium-Density Fibreboard: ANSI A208.2, Grade 130 made with a binder containing no urea formaldehyde
Particleboard: ANSI A208.1, Grade M-2 made with a binder containing no urea formaldehyde
Particleboard: straw-based particleboard in accordance with the requirements in ANSI A208.1, Grade M-2, except for density
Softwood Plywood: in accordance with U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) PS 1 Medium Density Overlay
Thermoset Decorative Panels: Particleboard or medium-density fibreboard finished with thermally fused, melamine-impregnated decorative paper in accordance with LMA SAT-1
High-Pressure Decorative Laminate: NEMA LD 3, grades as indicated or, if not indicated, as required by woodwork quality standard
Fire-Retardant Fibreboard: Medium-density fibreboard panels in accordance with ANSI A208.2, made from softwood fibres, synthetic resins, and fire-retardant chemicals mixed at the time of the panel manufacture to achieve a flame-spread index of 25 or less and smoke-developed index of 200 or less in accordance with ASTM E84
